Manufactured Products can be just about anything, from consumer products to medical instruments to aircraft. They are sold on the open market to all kinds of customers all over the world. CDL's objective is always to minimize production cost, especially if it's a consumer product and manufactured in large quantities. Specialty products like medical instruments or industrial controls may not have the production quantities of consumer items, but typically have more regulatory compliance issues. High end, low volume products have demanding requirements and complex capabilities which require extra attention to the smallest details. In all cases, CDL provides the resources to help get your product to market.
Development Tools are specialized products used in the creation and testing of products and systems. The development tools we build are sometimes entirely software based, or they can be a combination of software and hardware elements. Our customers generally use these tools during the design and testing of a manufactured product or service. The hardware is typically printed circuit board level assemblies created to assist in the development of code for specific integrated circuit configurations and new semiconductor devices.
Test & Process Control Equipment are components, systems and instruments used in production environments, research and development settings, or used for operations in the field. CDL designs automated test systems to streamline your production and improve quality. Our custom test equipment can be created to assist R&D efforts in the lab or we can develop specialized portable test gear for field service technicians, enabling them to fix problems away from the factory. We can build customized process control systems, creating just about any imaginable configuration using networked nodes. There is basically no limit on what can be achieved. Personal Computer Based Products are products and instruments that interact with software running on a PC. If time and money are a critical issue and you need to get something up and running fast, this is usually the best way to go. There is a huge number of third party boards and USB devices available, and by combining them with our custom software, CDL can deliver a working prototype ready for testing or demonstration in just a few days. CDL typically uses PC based configurations in specialized test & process control applications, unless size or power constraints dictate otherwise.
Software Applications are custom programs we write for our customers, based on their requirements, for Windows, Linux or Mac environments. Since we do this for our PC based systems, we can also build stand-alone programs for specialized applications and databases.
