Colorado Digital Labs,
Inc. provides services on a for-hire, time and materials basis.
Colorado Digital Labs, Inc. provides comprehensive engineering documentation based on the scope of the project requirements. As an example, development efforts result in the creation of documents that may include one or more of the following:
Document Type or Component Requirements Document Definitions Document Specification Documents Models Analysis, Evaluations & Determinations Processes & Procedures Organization, Schedules & Resources Architectural Block Diagrams Software Flow Charts Hierarchical Diagrams Electrical Schematic Diagrams Electrical Schematic CAD Files Electrical Schematic Component & Symbol Libraries Electrical Schematic Net & Pin Lists Decoded Memory and I/O address maps Interface & Connector Pin Definitions Wiring Diagrams PCB Assembly Bill of Materials Component Specification Data Engineering Change Orders Mechanical CAD Files Mechanical Dimension Drawings Assembly Drawings Printed Circuit CAD Files Printed Circuit Check Plots & DRC Reports Printed Circuit Component & Symbol Libraries Printed Circuit Gerber Photoplot Artwork Files Printed Circuit CNC Drill Files Printed Circuit Fabrication Directives VHDL Source Code PLD JEDEC Files Binary Files (EPROM, Flash etc.) Software Executable Binaries Software Source Code & Documentation Software Object & Class Libraries Header Files & Compiled Object Libraries Map & Link Files Compiler Build (Make) & Environment Files Scripts & Macros User Manuals & Help Files Technical & Service Manuals Photographic IllustrationsThe tools used to create deliverables and documentation are based on the clients project requirements.
PCB Assembly Prototypes
Our goal is to provide engineering and pre-production printed circuit assembly prototypes that are as close to the final product configuration as possible. Typically, our customers can take our initial prototypes and put them directly into production with minimal or no rework required. These prototypes are created from the engineering documents and design files outlined previously.
Prototypes can be created at various stages of the design providing project specific resources to assist in the overall development effort. Board support packages and software development kits can be created for ASIC's and tightly coupled chip sets to assist in building highly integrated designs.
Mechanical Assembly Prototypes
Mechanical assembly prototypes are also provided as close to the final product configuration as possible and created from the appropriate documents and design files. Colorado Digital Labs has provided the following mechanical prototypes for our clients various needs:
- Encoder and Detector Assemblies
- Membrane Keyboards
- Instrument Front Panels
- Enclosures & Equipment Cases
- Rack mounted Structures & Enclosures
- Precision Optical Component Assemblies
- High Vacuum System Components & Structures
- Bed-of-Nails Test Fixtures
- Drive Trains & Gear Box Assemblies
- Robotics Applications
Engineering & Pre-production First Articles
When the required elements of the new product begin to take form, engineering and pre-production first article prototypes can be created that allow critical analysis and design review to take place before release to production. This helps ensure that customer requirements have been met and cost factors have been minimized, contributing toward a successful product launch. Colorado Digital Labs brings together the critical product components and seamlessly integrates them together for a comprehensive look at your new product.
